Joseph Nana Aboagye Dede
Born in the small village Mfranta, located in Sahum of the Eastern Region of Ghana, Joseph grew up with a deep sense of determination and resilience. From a young age, he worked tirelessly to support his family, initially selling water in his community. His journey into the world of arts and craftsmanship began when he discovered the vibrant drum-making tradition at the Arts Center in Accra. Captivated by the richness of Ghanaian culture and the artistry surrounding him, Joseph knew he had found his calling and never looked back.
​Over the past 20 years, he has built strong partnerships across Ghana, the United Kingdom, Austria, Holland, Germany, Denmark, and the United States, providing authentic, handcrafted drums and cultural artifacts to a global audience. His business, Dede Craft Works, is a testament to his love for Ghanaian artistry and his commitment to sharing its beauty with the world.
